Flash Games

Disclaimer:

When I say game, and you think of "Doom" or "Starcraft" you will be very disappointed with the offerings on this page. What I mean here when I write 'game' is more on the lines of tic-tac-toe. This is a list of flash projects that more resemble games than anything else. They can be mildly amusing, but do not expect anything here to utilize your new $500.00 graphics card.

Games

Petals Around the Rose:
Cool dice game. It will hurt your brain. Play if you dare!

Connect 4 - PDA:
The old tabletop game. I coded this so I could play a game on my PDA. There is no logic, so you'll need an opponent to play. Push the tiny blue button on the bottom of the grid to watch the checkers fall. (This is sooo not 3D.)

Battleship - PDA:
Another tabletop game ported to the PDA format. Again, this one has no logic, so it's 2 player only. The UI is a little wonky, but it does work.

Minesweeper - PDA:
Microsoft did it best, but I did it, to see if I could, and to have something else to play on my PDA.

Snake - PDA:
You know that game where you're a snake and you need to eat the mice but then you get bigger and run into a wall and die? No, well... Now's your chance to catch up on all the video game fun you missed out on in the 70's...

Puzzle Grid:
This is a sliding block picture puzzle, but the cool thing is you can customize the number of blocks. It definitely won't win any design awards, but it works, and that was the challenge of building it.

Font Wars:
I just wanted to make a fun typing game. Please don't sue me Mr. Lucas...

Hangman:
Another horrible travisty of aesthetics. Please do not play this game unless you absolutely cant get your hands on a pencil and paper to make your own. The goal of this project was to load a word list into flash from an external text file. Unfortunately for you, the 'word' list is a series of definitions I extracted from a webpage somewhere. Every hangman answer will be in this format: The first "word" in the answer will be the "study of" and the second word is the definition "what is studied" so for example the first word would be "Chickenology" and the second word is "chickens." Obscure, I know, but potentially educational.
